Laura Bush Raises Breast Cancer Awareness
First lady Laura Bush has visited 68 countries during her husband's presidency, but in some ways, her trip to Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, may be her most urgent and personal trip yet.
Bush's trip is aimed at raising awareness in the Middle East about breast cancer - a disease both her grandmother and mother had. Neither woman died of the disease - Bush's mother is still alive and in good health - but the first lady has worked on breast cancer issues for many years.
Read more about Laura Bush's thoughts on global breast cancer awareness.
What do you think about the First Lady's effort to raise breast cancer awareness in the Middle East? Do you think she can begin working to help remove the taboo of breast cancer in Middle Eastern countries?
Tell us your thoughts.

1. Laura Bush is a good women. I commend her on her efforts to make so many aware of what could happen to them if they do not do self exams and mamograms and just go to the DR. at least yearly for routine checkups. I am about to undergo the biggest challenge of my life. I was diagnosed today with at least stage 2 Breast Cancer. I am 58. I went in May this year for my routine screening and everything was okay. Not perfect but okay. Nothing to be alarmed about. But..in late July, early August I found a lump myself. Yes I became alarmed and errie and went back to the Dr.I was sent back to the screening center again and more slides were done and a sonogram and some High resolution scans. I was immediately sent to a specialist in the field and 2 Biopsy's were done. The results were todl to me today. Not good and stage 2 at the very least. I will know more as time goes on. I will be going back to the specialist tomorrow, so we are nto wasting any time. I will know by tomorrow evening on how they are going to approach my care. Wish me the best all and I will say a prayer for all the women out there in the world that are battleing this disease. God Bless you all.

Thus, I start my battle and you know what I am going to win ! These mustants that have invading my body will be stamped out. I am building an ARMY of my own to fight them and they will be wiped out. Help me with fight.

3. Having followed the First Lady's trip to the MIDDLE EAST this past week via GRETAWIRE.com, the BLOG by
Greta Van Susteran, who was privileged to be part
of the entourage (press)accompanying Laura Bush on
the AIR FORCE Jet, I am tremenously impressed with her efforts to assist in the prevention and early detection/treatment of this horrible disease.
Please, if you possibly can, watch (or TiVo) the
Special ON THE RECORD, on Fox News @ 10 PM
Monday night, the 29th.
